  • Led peer-to-peer scientific engagement with gastroenterologists, maintaining and expanding long-term national and regional KOL relationships, including continuity of engagement following transition from MSD
  • Delivered full field medical plans during COVID lockdowns by transitioning all activities to online, completing planned engagement at ~40% under budget
  • Worked with investigators to develop Australia’s first biologic dose-reduction guidelines in IBD

In this role, I promoted the service to doctors, including GPs, cardiologists, endocrinologists, ENT surgeons, anaesthetists, bariatric surgeons and general physicians.

This work examined the catabolic pathways of glycosaminoglycans in normal systems and in the deficient conditions known as Lysosomal Storage Disorders, and also identified biomarkers for the differential diagnosis of the many LSD subtypes.

As a member of a team of scientists working towards the development of an extracorporeal bio-artificial liver device (artificial liver), my work in the Liver Group focussed on producing viable primary human hepatocyte cell lines from explant liver tissue.
